TERMITE MONITORING AND PREVENTION
Termites cause over 4 billion dollars in damage every year. While there are various kinds of termites worldwide, the eastern subterranean termite inhabits the tri-state area. As the seasons change and the top later of soil begins to thaw, swarming termites begin to forage out from the colony in new directions./ As seen on the left, these swarmers can look inconspicuous.
As time goes on, worker termites get into wooden beams or framing inside of your home. If left un-checked and un-treated, this infestation can grow to a costly and dangerous problem. With more and more termites streaming towards your home over time, worker termites (pictured left) can make new pathways that stretch to different areas of your home. While a termite issue should be disclosed during the same of a home, active infestations or past issues can be missed by a home inspector swept under the rug by the seller.
